The road to version 1.0
Terrain Generator » Devlog
With the release of version 0.7 I've started thinking about what features I want to add before I'll feel it's at the point when I can call it version 1.0. These include
- Hydraulic erosion: A good erosion routine can really make procedurally generated terrains look more realistic.
- Erosion mode: Once I've got erosion working for procedural generation I'd like to add an erosion mode so you can apply erosion to areas of a sculpted terrain
- Peaks/Valleys: I'd like the peaks/valleys procedural texturing mode to be faster and more accurate
- Solid colors for the procedural texturing: If you want to create a stylised looking terrain then being able to apply solid colors rather than textures would be useful. The main barrier to this is how to do it without cluttering the UI too much
- Better blending between the different textures when using procedural texturing: The transition still looks a bit too harsh
- NFTs: Wait, what do you mean April 1st was two days ago?
These are the main things I want to get working, though it's possible I'll think of other things I want to add.
